GAME: Halloween Hash ChallengeI watch with passion and with tears in my eyes romantic comedies in my spare time, so how the hell am I supposed to get metadata taken straight from horror movies. I respect the work you put into creating this hashlist, I tried it and end up with a score of close to 50%. For me and for the omnipresent cancer that would like to eat with pleasure every healthy cell of my body, this is a satisfactory result. Envy for not cracked hashes is not healthy in the long run. At least in my case. My guess is that it can severely deplete the soul and body from vitality, so I don't see the point in looking around the web space on the Internet for some scary metadata to retrieve a few more even scarier plaintexts that will make me feel bad. It just doesn't calculate for me. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the fun.

Riddled History: Hash Cracking and Reverse Engineering ChallengeTempting, but I'm going by the rule 'measure your strength by your intentions'. I am not familiar with software code and I think I will stay with my hobby of simpler hashes.

GAME: Halloween Hash ChallengeSpookie Carnival is going on at its best I think, but the question becomes to me. I'm achive 'Newbie' status. Magic barrier of 50% is standing in front of me and creepy waiting ...
Teach me my Spooky Master. I know it's impossible to know everything. How to easly get another 10% without buying 8x4090 and not making the street lanterns to dim out when I turn on the rig?
Ok, jokes. I'm quite happy with my result, but still:
Recovered/Time......: CUR:95,N/A,N/A AVG:67.73,N/A,N/A (Min,Hour,Day)
Sad to give up, btw, is there any reward for this?Maybe at least a cheap cemetery lore for a dark'n'cold winter night.

Riddled History: Hash Cracking and Reverse Engineering ChallengeFunfacts in a fairy-tale atmosphere on this challange. I managed to break a few file hashes, although Dorothy's spreadsheet was not for me to look at... Just as well to see the contents of 100 SHA1-like hashes was not for my sensitive eyes. I did get to the july4th.bin file, but I have the system misconfiguration that I was unable to read the flag too. Should I try to decompile/recompile binary on a software so praised by the NSA? I rathergive up.

for now.
Recovered 1k with wordlist, extracted rules and basewords from founds to get another ~20k with other wordlists and rules. Reapeted the process one more time and get that what I have. Too much creepiness for one night even for me ... Just kidding. Great hashes anyway. -

Pro TipsThe above can be used with more words and rules to get a little bigger wordlist:
echo $'word1\nword2\nw0rd3' > words.txt
hashcat --force words.txt -r complex.rule --stdout | sort -u > candidates_words.txt
